The famous Italian
specialty Pasta arrabiata is very popular across the continents due to its
spicy taste and choice of aromatic herbs. However, I have added a twist as I do
not like the over-powering tomatoes in it all the time so I have mentioned it
as semi-Arrabiata. The
dish is quick and delightfully bursts in flavors; the only thing that was
time consuming was cleaning the crab.
Ingredients
1. Pasta/Penne
250 gms
2. Olive
oil 3tbs
3. Tomatoes
2 large, roughly chopped
4. Garlic
4 cloves, finely chopped
5. Salt
to taste
6. Oregano
½ tsp
7. Crab
2, meat scooped
8. Onion
1 small, roughly chopped
9. Zucchini
50gm, roughly chopped
10. Red
chili powder ½ tsp
Method
1. Boil the pasta in hot water with salt and a teaspoon of oil until cooked, not soggy. It should take around 10mins; drain and set aside to cool.
2. In a pan add
the olive oil, sauté the garlic, onion, crab meat and zucchini in low flame for
about 5minutes. Cover the pan.
3. Now, add the tomatoes,
salt and chili powder until it is consistent.
4. Add the oregano and
pasta and toss gently so that it does not break.
For the garnish you can
add fresh herbs like cilantro, parmesan cheese or pepper flakes added a little
heat to it.
